It’s taken me some time to get around to reading all that has been said about this topic. It took me nearly 4 hours to listen to the lectures! Furthermore, I’ve had to set aside a book I bought for myself a couple of days ago - Judge Jeanine Pirro’s “Liars, Leakers and Liberals” - a worthwhile read, BTW.
I liked Doug King. He does not come across to me as a New Ager. In fact what he says rang true with my own recent experience and thinking. As you will likely be aware, I only joined this Forum nine months ago. You have all helped me a great deal with your insights and knowledge, not to forget your prayers while Alida was ill and dying and subsequently after she had passed on to be with her Lord. I appreciate you all very much, some more than others, but as they used to say in the Army, “no names, no packdrill”.
My spiritual beliefs have changed dramatically. Using the Integral Theology chart system, I think I have moved from “Modern” to “Postmodern”, from being a 5 pointer, holding to and preaching 450 year-old doctrines, to an evangelical universalist. So, it is not surprising perhaps that I would find Doug King’s views of interest and worthy of closer study and examination. I have noted the objections that some responders have made and these warrant further reflection. I was impressed by the numerous scriptural references and interpretations contained in the seven videos.
I just want to close by saying I love you guys, and admire the non-censorious way you react with those who may hold a different opinion.
