Jesus and Hell - Derek Flood

therebelgod.com/2011/09/more-i-follow-jesus-less-i-like-his.html

A great post by top blogger Derek Flood, who describes himself as a “hopeful universalist” in the comment thread. Well worth reading and a good resource for countering the idea that “Jesus taught more about hell than anyone else”. Here is a snippet to whet your appetite - but do read the whole post; it isn’t long!

You’ll read “God is like an angry king” and think “No, Jesus teaches us that God is not at all like a king, God is like a suffering servant,” and you would be absolutely right. In each of these parables, Jesus is turning our thinking upside down. He begins by turning the idea of payback on its head.

Thanks it’s a good article! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Derek’s work on PSA (on my to-read list) and he has helped me out on this forum before under the name “sharktacos” :sunglasses:

Interesting read Revdrew. Thanks.
