New scientific findings?

Any new developments in the last year, maybe things like a new approach of understanding Plato’s idea of aion if its any relevant?

On a similar topic there is:

Terms for Eternity: aiônios and aïdios in Classical and Christian Texts, Ilaria Ramelli, David Konstan,

Is that a pro Universalism book?

I suppose that’s debatable, though the authors are allegedly pro universalist, according to the Tentmaker site. Like the Keizer book it is a scholarly work, which is supposed to be objective & put aside one’s theological biases. I prefer Keizer’s since it translates the original language quotes into English more often than Ramelli’s.

I’d like to bump the thread. Any new findings in the meanwhile?

I might add something, there are papyri translated from early Christians in Egypt, there seems still a lot of work to do, since a lack of Greek scholars.

The result so far, these early Christian seemed to have lived a quite normal life and they were well integrated in their non-Christian communities.

Maybe if the work is continued there will be insights in their eschatological beliefs.
