Quote for today

“Imagine that Jesus is calling you today. He extends a second invitation to accept His Father’s love. And maybe you answer, “Oh, I know that. It’s old hat.”

And God answers, 'No, that’s what you don’t know. You don’t know how much I love you. The moment you think you understand is the moment you do not understand. I am God, not man. You tell others about Me - your words are glib. My words are written in the blood of My only Son. The next time you preach about My love with such obnoxious familiarity, I may come and blow your whole prayer meeting apart.

Did you know that every time you tell Me you love Me, I say thank you?”

Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel: Good News for the Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt Out

“We have a tendency to think in terms of doing and not in terms of being. We think that when we are not doing anything, we are wasting our time. But that is not true. Our time is first of all for us to be. To be what? To be alive, to be peaceful, to be joyful, to be loving. And that is what the world needs most.”-- Thich Nhat Hanh

“Many people die at twenty five and aren’t buried until they are seventy five.” - Benjamin Franklin-

Whatever you think again and again will materialise eventually. Make sure through regular practice of mindfulness and heartfulness, you reach a point where you become in charge of your own mind and emotions. Keep an eye on the screen of your mind and allow not random thoughts to occupy mind space and rob your peace.

Practice practice and practice being the Witness of your mind and all is well.

“Hence the importance of patience in the New Testament, which becomes the basic constituent of Christianity, more central even than humility: the power to wait, to persevere, to hold out, to endure to the end, not to transcend one’s own limitations, not to force issues by playing the hero or the titan, but to practice the virtue that lies beyond heroism, the meekness of the Lamb which is led.” -Hans Urs von Balthasar-

And I think I will quote myself also:

  • I like the contemplation of Panentheism (as expressed in Indian philosophy and Orthodox theology)… Where I combine a contemplation of Advaita Vedanta. Where God is in all things and all things are related to - and connected - in God. With the contemplation of Emmet Fox, with his Golden Key approach. Where we focus on God’s attributes, like Divine Goodness, Omnipresence, Omnipotence, etc.

“Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body.”-- George Carlin

There is so much need for Meditation Centers all over the world, where people of all ages and traditions can come, learn the art of Self (Mind) management and then alone get into married or family life or professional, business life. Or else the war at individual, family and international levels can never stop. Religions are creating more problems than anything else. Gods are made stooges for bounties of wealth for a few.

Thank you Covid19 for gradually making humans at least think about what has gone wrong!
Love alone can heal us!

“Kind hearts are the gardens. Kind thoughts are the roots. Kind words are the flowers. Kind deeds are the fruits. Take care of your garden and keep out the weeds. Fill it with sunshine, kind words, and kind deeds.”-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

You live in the world of your thoughts. If the thoughts are full of love and empathy, harmony and peace then you are living in a blissful world. You are in self-love. It is all in the Mind.~~Bodhi

“Faith is not an art. Faith is not an achievement. Faith is not a good work of which some may boast while others can excuse themselves with a shrug of the shoulders for not being capable of it. It is a decisive insight of faith itself that all of us are incapable of faith in ourselves, whether we think of its preparation, beginning, continuation, or completion.” -Karl Barth-

Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity."-- Hippocrates

"I have never led my life on the basis of “until it’s safe.” I do not take ridiculous risks. I wear a seatbelt whenever I’m in a car because the chances are overwhelming that in a bad accident, a seatbelt can save my life. But I get into the car, which is not 100% safe.

You are not on earth to be safe. You are on earth to lead a full life. I don’t want my epitaph to be, “He led a safe life.” …

All of life confronts you with this question: Are you going to take risks or play it safe? If you play it safe, you don’t get married. If you play it safe, you don’t have kids. There are real risks in getting married; there are real risks in having children.

If you want to lead a good and full life, you cannot keep asking, “Is it safe?” Those at college promoting “safe spaces” are afraid of life, and they want to make you afraid of life.

We’re going crazy on the safe issue. It is making police states. That’s my worry: In the name of safety, many Americans are dropping all other considerations. " - Dennis Prager
