"To love your enemies is Divine" sign displayed by Calvinist

Same. I wasn’t implying they didn’t. I see the sign as saying “loving your enemies is to do what God does”, which is why I find it ironic that they also say “God doesn’t love some (many?) of His enemies”

Yes, I understand the irony. Cindy is right too. It is cognitive dissonance. I cut my teeth on Calvinism. I always disowned it, but I learnt a lot about church history due to the hateful contempt that Calvin initially had shown to others. It is now ironic, too, that the opponents now have the upper hand.

I don’t think we should return the same contempt back to Calvinists (and I am not saying you are doing this), as I have heard Calvinism spoken of here as though they are contemptible lepers. They never hurt me, so I don’t feel this. I have never been to a Calvinist church (as far as I know), so they never really had a great impact on me. You probably know much more than I do; but I did study some of Calvin’s Institutes, a few books on TULIP, and his role in burning Michael Servetus. That was enough for me.
