A Calvinist Meditates On The Glory Of Christ

When my faith is in Christ I am united to Him in His death and resurrection. I am in mystical union with Him. I become one with Him. Before this happens I am dead in sin and under God’s just wrath. That is, my sin and God’s wrath cloud my vision of seeing the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. In Christ’s death and resurrection my sin is expiated as God’s wrath is removed and I now can behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. I am talking about glory - radiance, effulgence, brightness. Glory is the outshining of whatever is glorious. The glory of God is the beautiful brightness of God. The veil has been torn in two and now with an unveiled face I am being transformed from glory to glory as I behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. I pray for the grace to meditate on the fullness of the Gospel of Christ. I want to admire Christ so much that sinful habits feel foreign to me.

I MAKE WAR!!!
