Augustinian Universalism

I have just posted an article on my blog: “Tweaking Augustine: From Limited Atonement to Universalism.”

Dr Quick brought to my attention that he has since published a refutation of his piece in the Scottish Journal of Theology. Unfortunately, I do not have access to that journal, hence cannot comment on it. But the blog article may be of interest to folks on this forum regardless.

I welcome your comments, either here or on my blog.

Just to clarify, the church sign at the top of his post is from the online Church Sign Generator (which I’ve occasionally used for jokes, too.)

Under the circumstances, a Catholic instead of Baptist version might have been more appropriate, though.

I for one have forgotten who Dr. Quick is, and which article of his he might be refuting now. Help?? (Dr. Quick isn’t mentioned in the linked article or the comments yet.)

Oops. Crisp! My mistake. For some some reason my brain thinks “Oliver Quick” (an mid20th century Anglican theologian) whenever I want to write “Oliver Crisp.”

About the sign, I just use ones I find on the net. Haven’t tried the generator yet, wherever it might be.

Oh! Okay – now I make the connection. It never occurred to me that you were “Akimel”. Great post, btw.
