Sure, of course. No one is suggesting science stops testing the boundaries. We must continue to discover. That said, those two theories are nowhere near as rigid and probable as the theory of gravity. We can may not understand the ultimate cause of gravity, but we can predict it. I am afraid this isn’t the case with string theory and multiverses.
