I don’t know of any such resource. You might ask on the GM Society page on Facebook.

Oh – I see the question there already. LOL
That would be a cool project! Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s been done. Also it would be a difficult task since GMD often quoted or alluded to Scripture indirectly. I read somewhere that he eschewed the practice of piling up a bunch of verses to support whatever point he was making.
I’ve outlined Unspoken Sermons and tried to track down various references he made to Scripture and other sources. You can find those outlines (or at least most of them) at georgemacdonald.info/unspoken_sermons.html. It’s not what you’re looking for but maybe those outlines would be of some use.
You might try posting on the Wingfold email list.
I don’t know of an online source, but I do possess the book 3000 Quotations from the Writings of George MacDonald, compiled by Harry Verploegh which categorizes 3000 quotes (both long and short) by topic, and gives the reference for each quote. This book can be purchased from Amazon or from Ebay.
I know of NO resource which categorizes quotes from GMD by Bible passages.
Another good book collecting short extracts from GMac’s various writings is Knowing the Heart of God. Again, second-hand copies can be picked up for a song on Amazon. The overall ‘theme’ is that obedience is the key to knowing God, but the extracts are grouped under several ‘sub themes’.
I’ve found it a really handy book for ‘dipping into’ to get some spiritual nourishment from the great man. Although I own his complete works, including the fantastic Unspoken Sermons, his writing is very dense sometimes and it can be quite hard to find what you’re looking for unless you are very familiar with the texts.
Hm! ^^ Especially if like me (and I know I am ) one doesn’t want to wade through his picaresque novels looking for sayings. That 3000 saying book looks very handy; how many of the sayings come from the historical fiction works, Paidion? (I like his fantasy and theological works already, and it seems like someone could easily pull 3000 sayings from those by themselves. )
For the OP, I don’t know of a scriptural cross-reference project either. I was going to recommend looking toward David Baldwin’s work, but WDB beat me to it.
I can’t tell you how many come from his fictional works, Jason, as I don’t feel like counting them. I can only say that there are quotes from virtually ALL of his fictional works as well as “The Miracles of our Lord”, his poetical works, and his “Unspoken Sermons” (All three series).
