Has anyone read this book? And, if so, are the authors believers in free will? And if not, what is their view on the problem of evil?
If anyone would be willing to lend me the book I’d much appreciate it!

Hi Chris
I haven’t read this book. But I have read other stuff by Eric Reitan, who I admire a great deal. He’s basically a believer in ‘free will’ - although he’s honest enough to admit that he’s not quite sure what this actually means (and I agree with him ). Check out his blog, there’s loads of good stuff there, including this post on free will, Universalism and the problem of evil:

Excellent book, though very ‘dense’ philosophically and theologically. Not really written for the average lay man in mind, I think. More a sort of undergraduate level book, IMHO. But well worth the effort of reading. Very persuasive. Regarding freewill they present a case for universalism across the spectrum, they deal with free will universalism, though they also cover non-libertarian universalism. They show that it doesn’t matter what your position on free will is, the outcome is always universalism.
