How Does A Calvinist Know He/She Is Born Again?

Paidon,

I can only speak from the area where I come from (which is John Piper) but it focuses on changing the heart and purifying the corrupt desires to where we find our deepest joy in the glory of God. It is by faith but this faith that justifies also sanctifies. Christ is not only trusted as Lord and Savior but there is a transformation to where He becomes the most satisfying reality. We find our deepest joy in Christ or the glory of Christ and extend this to others. It is what I studied when I started getting better by losing my fears and experiencing the love of Christ. It has helped me tremendously even though I have struggled with eternal punishment a lot. I find though that there is room for a universalism even though one holds the five points. This is where I seem to be headed because for me the more loving and compassionate I become the less and less I want anybody to suffer forever.
