How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

I pity those folks from Australia. NOT only do they have COVID-19 to worry about, but now this.

A bit about BBC news folks:

Let me quote a bit.

Its estimated weekly audience of 84 million makes it the BBC’s biggest television service.

Available in more than 440m homes, 3m hotel rooms, on 165 cruise ships, 30 commercial vessels, 13 commercial airlines, and 36 mobile phone networks - BBC World News broadcasts a diverse mix of authoritative international news, sport, weather, business, current affairs, and documentary programming.

And we have this question to deal with.

But we have good leadership examples, to show us the right way forward.

Your having “heard” something doesn’t count as making it reality. I have heard many things numerous times that are balderdash. In arguing one has to stiff workers and suppliers by declaring bankruptcy in order to be a millionaire, you mock people with personal responsiblity investing their paltry paychecks to become millionaires. In truth very few millionaires have declared bankruptcy, much less multiple times.

Most of them got there through hard work and putting aside part of their earnings to multiply it. The reality is that like many others, I was a low paid pastor in expensive California, never paid over $39,000/year, and did not find it difficult to accumulate a million dollars by putting a percent aside to invest for the future. That’s how I retired at age 51. Not by declaring bankruptcy.

As for your belief in how smart Trump is, perceptions of his brilliance widely differ.

Listen up, black folks! You’re not black if you think for yourself!!

Of course. Folks must think for themselves.

From this inspiring message, I’m all for zombies from Z-Hell (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) - opening up churches.

Preparing for the zombie (church) apocalypse – Seven whole days

Oh, yes. The Biden story.

How is that Trump “miracle drug” doing?

Let me quote a bit.

The drug US President Donald Trump said he was taking to ward off Covid-19 actually increases the risk of patients with the disease dying from it, a study in the Lancet has found.

Geez, taking the black vote for granted, much, Joe?

Here are the worst examples of Biden’s racism and white supremacist beliefs…

1.) “White Kids” are Smarter than Other Kids – August 2019:

We should challenge these students, we should challenge students in these schools to have advanced placement programs in these schools. We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor you cannot do it, poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.

2.) Brags About His Ability to Work with Racists – June 2019

“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland [and Herman Talmadge],” Biden said with an attempted Southern drawl. “He never called me boy, he always called me son.”

“Well guess what?” the former vice president continued. “At least there was some civility. We got things done. We didn’t agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished. But today you look at the other side and you’re the enemy. Not the opposition, the enemy. We don’t talk to each other anymore.”

Eastland and Talmadge were arch-segregationists who opposed civil rights and saw black people as an “inferior race.”

3.) Brags About Segregationist Democrat Not Calling Him “Boy” Like He Did Others – 2019

“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland,” the former vice president said while putting on a Southern drawl. “He never called me boy, he always called me son.”

4.) Appears to Use Racist Term “Roaches” to Describe Black Kids – 2017

By the way, you know, I sit on the stand, and it get[s] hot. I got a lot, I got hairy legs that, that, that, that turn blonde in the sun, and the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again. They’d look at it. I learned about roaches, I learned about kids jumping on my lap.

When he spoke, Biden was surrounded by black children, he was also referring to his time as a lifeguard, where he says the swimmers were mostly black kids.

5.) Mocks Indian-Americans – 2006

You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.

6.) Describes Barack Obama Is a “Bright and Clean” Black Person – 2007

You got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.

7.) Uses Antisemitic Term “Shylock” – 2014

Watch below…

8.) Praised Democrat Segregationist as “Man of Character” – 1988

On the floor of the U.S. Senate in 1988, Biden praised segregationist Sen. John Stennis (D-MS) as a “man of character,” even after the Democrat sought to oppose Brown v. Board of Education with something called The Southern Manifesto . In fact, Biden has even bragged about Stennis gifting him with the table the Southern Manifesto was signed on.

9.) Segregation Is Good for Black People – 1975

I think the concept of busing … that we are going to integrate people so that they all have the same access and they learn to grow up with one another and all the rest, is a rejection of the whole movement of black pride, is a rejection of the entire black awareness concept, where black is beautiful, black culture should be studied and the cultural awareness of the importance of their own identity.

10.) Democrat Party Needs More People Like Racist Democrat Governor George Wallace – 1975

I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right.

And now you have Biden, friend to segregationists, defender of segregation, telling black people that if they vote for Trump — and 1.8 million did in 2016 — they are not black.

Well, Biden apologizes. Come to think of it, when have we EVER seen president Trump apologize for anything?

Should we expect a quick, economic turnaround?

So please don’t be singing, this song anytime soon.

Oh goody - Joe apologized. Not for the list of things I posted - just his ‘latest’ gaffe - he has them every time he speaks now, poor man. I don’t know if T has apologized or not - this was about JOE. YOUR next president?? The one with that list - at a minimum - of racism and insults to blacks and others. Over a lifetime.
Anyway - I raise some points about Joe’s past behavior, and like Lefties (I don’t think you are one) you change the topic to Trump, using the “EVER”?? - just like the BBC!! It’s all Trump, all the time - you are now in that camp, I guess? I cannot post anything positive about DT or negative about Joe, or I will get a snarky response.

No, I’m not a lefty - whatever that is. I value things that Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholics, and Republicans value - like their abortion positions. But I’m all for some things that Democrats value, like a universal health care system. But I disagree with other things, like transgender bathrooms.

Anyway, Trump gives the BBC and me - Food for fodder. And it’s part of my job description, as an ‘aspiring’ Holy Fool.

As an aside, I did look into past issues of World Weekly News. They also spin Trump, in a different light. For example:

:

As I posted elsewhere - “Elsewhere, I posted an article describing the on-the-record racist statements of Joe Biden, throughout his career. The response I got was like this: “Well Joe has apologized for his latest gaffe. What the REAL issue is - when has Trump EVER apologized for anything?” So - we will overlook what should be a huge issue, an eye-opener, an OMG moment of a man running for a powerful position - and ask an irrelevant question about Trump instead.”

It’s a very relevant question. Biden did something “allegedly” bad. He apologized. Trump did something “allegedly” bad. - many times. Did he apologize? It’s a fair question. Of course, an apology doesn’t erase the original action.

Exactly, all politicians say and do foolish things, but having an ego that’s unusually unable to ever acknowledge that he has erred, or done anything needing forgiveness, seems the biggest risk.

P.S. And what Bidden said was awful! I’m just glad that he can at least recognize that.

In the midst of a head to head political contest between Biden and Trump, when you lodge a partisan criticism of one side’s awful words, it seems naïve to demand no comparison be raised between these opponents, and how they handle their own crazy statements or deeds, as if comparisons are irrelevant.

My perception is that most participants here acknowledge faults in the Dem candidate’s statements, but when Trump says something abysmal, and never even apologizes for it, the majority here totally fails to acknowledge he does it, and most typically defend whatever he says. I suspect most Americans, just like Randy, are not blind to that double standard.

I second that motion. Americans are not stupid, for the most part. The main problem with Biden (other than he’s NOT Mike Bloomberg), is his age. Folks will be looking to whom, he picks as a female VP. It is very possible, if Biden wins - the VP might have to take over. So far, Trump (for all his faults) - is the better choice in Nov. But that could change if he screws up on either COVID-19 or the economy.

And I dedicate this AARP video, to President Trump.

And from Patheos’ Evangelical newsletter.

I’m basically just trying to point out the following:
Democrats MADE UP ‘crimes’ against Trump , with NO evidence, and we have that on record. This went on for 3 years, and they are threatening another impeachment effort.

Biden has a long record of racist, condescending dissing of black folk. Does your BBC, CNN or other alphabets report that for 3 years? This imo disqualifies the man from running - but he’s the front runner.

Just sayin’ - something’s rotten here.

You’re basically just repeating your three year mantra asserting that no one can dispute that Democrats do everything wrong, and are unusually racist toward black folk, but every critique of Trump is only imaginary. I agree, “Something’s rotten here.”

Bob talking to Dave. Or to summarize this, in simple terms.

“Democrats no good. Republicans good. Trump super good.”

Watch Frankenstein now. He can teach us, how to do this.

“Leftists deem liquor stores, lottery vendors, and abortion providers “essential services.” They are indeed essential to the destructive leftist agenda: to keep people drunk and stupefied, economically illiterate, and addicted to sex so that they may be more easily controlled. The Orange Man punches back effectively, which is one of a hundred reasons why we support him and will vote for him over Biden, the Dementocrats’ flim-flam man. “Come on, maaan, you ain’t no black dude if you be votin’ for Trump!” (That’s a sense-preserving paraphrase, not a quotation.”
I forgot to mention marijuana dispensaries as “essential services.” Absolutely! Essential to keep people stoned and unaware of the “fundamental transformation of the U. S.” (Obama) into a totalitarian state. If they are ‘essential,’ how did people live without them a few years ago?" - Bill Vallicella

And there are “righties” that view gun shops and cannabis shops - as essential services. Whether left or right, the bottom line is this.

See, for example:

And President Trump mentioned he wants to open churches ASAP, as essential services. But did you know that the Uniao Do Vegetal from Brazil, won a supreme court case - to practice Ayahuasca in the US, as a church? And Native Americans won a supreme court case, to practice peyote as a religion. (i.e. American Indian religious freedom act)? And churches like ONAC, Peaceful Mountain Way and Soul Quest, are piggybacking on these decisions. And they also will be classified as essential services.

LOL, At 73, to maintain my faithfulness to the Orange Man, I’ve been resisting overdoing sex
