How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

Oh, good. Friends reuniting.

And on the political front.

I don’t put Bloomberg, out of the race. He has the money to hire professional coaches, to prepare for future debates.

And who is tweeting against climate change?

"Conservative Christians see Trump as a barricade against Democratic Party leaders who want taxpayer-funded abortion on demand until birth. We see him as a shield against leftists who want to drive religious traditionalists from the marketplace, close our schools and charities, and tax our churches for refusing to bend the knee to the dogmas of the sexual revolution. We see him as a bulwark against a transgender lobby that wants to take children away from their parents and mutilate them with chemicals and surgery.

We need not admire the president’s personal character to view him as, in Walker’s words, “a bed of nails on the road, temporarily halting secularism’s advance.” Democrats’ efforts to enforce conformity with leftist cultural norms have targeted the Little Sisters of the Poor and created dissident cake artists, florists, and calligraphers. Trump and his judicial appointments are the last line of defense against the left’s coercion of cultural and religious nonconformists."

And we have a NEW Russian collusion on the Left side!:
So now it turns out that the Dem machine is reporting that the Russians are working on behalf of Bernie.

Only fair.

Bernie worked on the behalf of the Russians for the past fifty years . . . pay back.

I guess it’s time to get out and crank up the ol’ defibrillator, go find Mueller and his gang of “angry Democrats,” start issuing subpoenas, hold hearings, and ruining people’s lives. Got to get to the bottom of this new Russian collusion story! Adam Schiff, call your office, start leaking.

We are faced with a REALLY TOUGH choice!!
" can either support a Republicans who’s cut taxes, created millions of jobs, boosted wages for the first time in decades, defends Israel, defends life, kills terrorists, turned America into an energy exporter, and nominates superb judges, or… They can further whore themselves for a self-proclaimed socialist openly promising to socialize healthcare, destroy the rule of law with a flood of illegal immigrants, strip every American of their health insurance, and use tax dollars to murder the unborn."

No this isn’t talking about money like Trump’s spiritual advisor, Paula White, believes. Like the Capitalism of Trumpsters the health, wealth and prosperity gospel exploits the poor.

Daredevil dies trying to prove the earth is flat.

And another example of REAL news.

And here’s the theme song, from the world’s most reliable online newspaper.

And what is Clint Eastwood’s, current political thinking?

And on the music scene.

A.A. is a true democratic anarchy. A.A. created a historically unique organizational structure (a blend of anarchy and radical democracy relying on rotating leadership, group conscience, intentional corporate poverty, etc.) that even its most devoted early professional allies believed could not work.

Corporate poverty is the practice of refusing to own property, either individually or corporately. This practice of Middle Ages religious communities developed based on Christian religious beliefs. Practical considerations generally allow for some exceptions

  1. That AA is a beautiful socialism – most democratic. 2. That AA is also a dictatorship, its members subject to the benign rule of God. And finally, 3. That AA is so very individualistic that the organization cannot discipline its own members for misbehavior or unbelief.

“So,” continue our friends, “within the society of Alcoholics Anonymous it appears to us that you have a democracy, a dictatorship and an anarchy, all functioning at once.

Bill Wilson, Grapevine:

As Bill Sees It

A.A.: Benign Anarchy and Democracy, p. 50

When we come into A.A. we find a greater personal freedom than any other society knows. We cannot be compelled to do anything. In that sense our Society is a benign anarchy. The word “anarchy” has a bad meaning to most of us.

But I think that the idealist who first advocated the concept felt that if only men were granted absolute liberty, and were compelled to obey no one, they would then voluntarily associate themselves in the common interest. A.A. is an association of the benign sort he envisioned.

But when we had to go into action–to function as groups–we discovered that we also had to become a democracy. As our old-timers retired, we therefore began to elect our trusted servants by majority vote. Each group in this sense became a town meeting. All plans for group action had to be approved by the majority. This meant that no single individual could appoint himself to act for his group or for A.A. as a whole. Neither dictatorship nor paternalism was for us.

What’s happening in India?

Of course this is a bad bad thing, and I fully expect scorn ridicule and “why didn’t he do this or this or that other thing?” because after all, Trump can do NOTHING good at all, and he’s a white man,and somehow this is racist, elitist, Islamaphobic and does not address trans women of color, but still and all, I congratulate him for it. :+1:

What’s new in India?

PRIVATE PROPERTY IS THE FOUNDATION OF INDIVIDUAL LIBERTY, AND INCLUDED THEREIN ARE THE MEANS FOR THE DEFENSE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY

I get it that some don’t like Trump. I don’t get it when the total corruption of the Obama’s is not even mentioned, but a pardon of a much less corrupt man - Blago - is given all the attention.
Obama was corrupt - do you care at all, or is Trump hatred so all-consuming that actual facts don’t matter?
This article lays out some jaw-dropping facts about Obama. You can read it in 10 minutes. The media does not report this stuff much - but it is public record.
Here is one paragraph, and even this is not the most egregious - you really should read the whole thing imo. Concerning the opening post: WHO was REALLY morally unfit to be President?

"In 2004, then–Illinois senator Obama stole one million dollars of taxpayer money, disguised as a grant, and gave it to his wife’s employer, where family friend Valerie Jarrett happened to be a director. Jarrett had hired Michelle as an executive at $120,000 per year.

After the hospital got the million, Michelle got a $197,000 raise to $317,000 for what seemed to be a part-time job. (I am sure all of us can relate to a 200% raise or a $317,000 salary.) Michelle’s main job was to dump low-income, unprofitable patients onto other hospitals (the Obamas have always been so compassionate and empathetic). To tell the poor how good this was, the hospital hired David Axelrod, a campaign adviser for Obama. Later on, they hired the corrupt family friend Eric Whitaker in an executive position.

In summary, Senator Obama stole taxpayer money to pay family, friends, and political supporters.

How often, in Illinois and throughout the country, do politicians steal money to benefit themselves? How many politicians, family members, and friends have gotten extremely rich while burying their snouts in the public trough?

Everyone should remember that when the media say the government is short of money, the private sector is greedy, and people don’t pay their fair share, taxpayer money is used to enrich politicians and bureaucrats. After all, several of the richest counties in the U.S. are around D.C. where they produce nothing."

CS Lewis never helped millions of drug addicts and alcoholics like Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob have. We don’t gain independence until we become completely dependent on God.

A.A. Paradoxes

God teaches by means of opposites so that we will have two wings to fly - not one. - Rumi

•from weakness (adversity) comes strength
•we forgive to be forgiven
•we give it away to keep it
•we suffer to get well
•we surrender to win
•we die to live
•from darkness comes light
•from dependence we found independence.

CS Lewis teachings don’t help the suffering and mentally ill like AA has. He is good at trying to force everyone to see things his way though.
