Human beings were like God from the days of the first human beings. For they were created in his image.
Certainly God is far above human beings and different from them in many respects, and therefore is “other.” But it is quite another thing to believe that He is COMPLETELY other. If that were the case, He would be devoid of love, anger, compassion, and other emotions such as we possess. And He would be unable to relate to human beings, but would be remote and separate with thoughts of nothing but Himself.
