I heard I think that Robin Parry is contributing a chapter in a revised edition of Zondervan’s Four Views on Salvation. Anyone know anything about this? Also, anyone know when the Deep Church Rising book will be available? thanks
Bailey,
I don’t know the answer to your question, but I moved it over to Robin’s special category (and adding a reply like this might trigger his email alert to see it’s here). I left a shadow of the original thread back in “Books”, so someone might still see it there, too. Hopefully this will help get an answer to your questions faster.
Would Alex know? He usually posts if he hears something interesting about Robin, but with the new little face in his house I expect he’s a bit distracted . . .
Hmmm… Is Robin “tag-able”? (taggable?)
[tag]Gregory MacDonald[/tag], that should do it.
I do remember him telling me a few weeks ago that he was working on a few EU things this year… but I’ve sent him your question on FB to see if this is one of them
Thanks so much for the update!

“universal salvation does not equal Universalism” ; &

Carvin, I would be interested to hear you explain your thinking here.
Robin, can I explain MY view on Carvin’s comment (above), which I read only yesterday ?
“1 Timothy 2:4,6 teaches a “universal substitutionary-RANSOM” by the Second Adam i.e. our Lord Messiah:Jesus. This will (initially) be a UNIVERSAL, physical resurrection (for most) …for judgment (opportunity) … throughout the future Ages (see John 5:29).
Paul, knew that SOZO could mean healing; rescue from danger etc., but, in verses like 1 Cor 15:22; 1 Tim 2:4; 4:10; Rom 5:18 etc., Paul used words like “saved” i.e. sozo (& soter), to refer to these future, RESURRECTIONS, see John 5:21,22,25,26,27,28,29; Acts 10:42; 17:31; 2 Tim 4:1.
Paul did NOT teach automatic (or guaranteed) immortality FOR ALL: but, resurrection for all i.e. “universal resurrection””. Temple Farrar
