I’ve had a tough time coming to a conclusion on the matter of whether I can ever say that I am a good person or that someone else is a good person. Jesus himself said that there is no one good but God. I know I can do good things, but I am also aware of how bad a person I am. I’m full of pride, envy, etc. So can we ever call someone good?

I used to read the self-help books of Albert Ellis. He taught me that it is inaccurate to call a person good or bad; people are too complex for that. In every life a person will do good things and bad things.
