Matthew 28:20
20teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you, and lo, I am with you all the days, till the full end of the age.’

Some translations say until the end of the world. My question is, what happens after the end of the age? He is no longer with you/us? It makes it sound like He will never leave us nor forsake us, that He will be with us always…up until the end of the age, then He will no longer be. If an “age” ends, then it makes it sound as if He will no longer be with us…

Maybe i am asking a dumb question and that I’m just being ‘funny’…but I’m not…it just kinda caught my attention…

Soo…???

I don’t think it means that He won’t be with us after the end of the age, it’s an assurance that He won’t leave us at any time, no matter how bad this age gets, He is sticking it out with us all the way to the end. It doesn’t mean He won’t be there after.

Just like if you were watching your child’s baseball game, you might say, I’ll be there with you the whole time, till the end of the game. It doesn’t mean you’re leaving right after, it just means you’ll be there the whole time.

Thank you…i guess that makes sense now.
