The Evangelical Universalist Forum

Private messaging is an underused tool?

My thought is that a more useful approach for good order and actual problem discussion would be to PM the individual you are jeering at, making fun of, ridiculing etc. Save the forum space for agreements and refutations and suggestions and such.

Saying, on a public space, that 'You are a ____________________", where the fill-in is meant to mock or ridicule - what good does it do? You’ve embarrassed a fellow believer in public, guaranteed that that person will not listen to you even when you are making good points, and generally cluttered up the flow of thought.

Hey, I’ve been guilty, but have tried to steadily improve over the past couple of years.
