Promoting EU & evangelicaluniversalist.com?

Awesome! Welcome to the fold!

(waiting for Alex and Jason to catch on - and for Jason to even start using Facebook )

NOTE: Remember all, you can remove the notification that you joined the group off of your wall if you so feel the need.

While I understand the reasons some will have to remove the notification, Iā€™m hoping it might be a conversation starter.

 I saw it and thought it was a great idea. Iā€™ll join after Iā€™ve told my church leaders.

I watched the first video earlier todayā€“very nice!

Sonia

This is kind of random: but you wouldnā€™t by any chance be the RobO who wrote the Excel spreadsheet dynamic campaign generator for the 2nd and 3rd Combat Mission games, would you?

(I realize the odds are against it. But when I saw ā€œRob Oā€ I thought I would ask anyway. )

Jason,

No, that wasnā€™t me.

Since the changes, this is how Google see us :sunglasses: https://chart.googleapis.com/chart?cht=lc&chc=wmc&chd=s:__CBBCBBBBCBBCBBBBCBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBCBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBCBBBBBBBBBBBKDOIZXYRfn4&chds=0.0,61.0&chs=500x150&chma=70,0,0,0&chco=000080&chm=R,666666,0,0.25,0.251%7CR,666666,0,0.5,0.501%7CR,666666,0,0.75,0.751%7CB,eeeeee,0,0.0,0.0&chxt=y,x&chxr=0,0.0,100.0%7C1,0.0,100.0&chxl=0:%7C0%7C200%7C400%7C1:%7CSep%7COct%7CNov%7CDec&chxp=0,0.0,50.0,100.0%7C1,12.5,37.5,62.5,87.5&chxs=0,666666,11.0,1.0%7C1,666666,11.0,0.0&sig=SbtRFrSRnMb5f1lkwY5PovxyrQ0

Wow! Very nice! Iā€™ve noticed Google and Yahoo Bots on almost every time I visit.

Kinda reminds me of the stock market charts from a few years agoā€¦

Sonia

So long as we donā€™t get a ā€œcrashā€ :imp:

We are now number 18 out of about 8,350,000 results on Google for ā€œuniversalistā€. Really need to be on first page to be noticed.

There are about 13,500,000 results for ā€œevangelicalā€, we done appear in the first 200 results (after which I gave up looking!). There are no sponsored links, so Iā€™m very tempted to make one as it would be cheap because it would have no competition.

What do you think of this as a Google ā€œSponsored Linkā€ (uses max characters)?

site:www.evangelicaluniversalist.com now brings up 543 results which is almost half the number of topics weā€™ve created so I think we are certainly making good progress

Iā€™m happy with this; but donā€™t we have a poll or something already on this topic? I recall it being mentioned (with different proposed wording I was also happy with  ) somewhere elseā€¦ (Maybe it was in this thread? Iā€™m lazy and hungry and donā€™t want to go look for myself waaaahhhh. )

I proposed a better one, with a poll, to the moderators :sunglasses:

Just for fun I exported the ā€œJoined Dateā€ data and graphed it in Excel (shows 14 more than at bottom of home page, either because search bots have joined or people have deleted accounts) :ugeek:

Just to give a little history on one of those ā€œReaction to Love Winsā€ data pointsā€¦

I became a UR believer in 2008 - At that point I thought I was alone and didnā€™t even think to do much internet searching for others. It was because of the reaction to Love Wins in the blogosphere that I started looking around a bit more and found this site. Sure glad I did. I still havenā€™t read TEU by MacDonaldā€¦ but Iā€™m glad that book spawned this site.

I notice Dr. Eric Reitan (or anyway someone using his Oklahoma State email address!) joined the forum back in mid June. Maybe we should contact him, confirm itā€™s him, and offer him his own authorā€™s corner?

Amazonā€™s author page

forthcoming philosophical argument for universal salvation ā€œGodā€™s Final Victoryā€

Tom Talbott mini-reviews (and endorses) GFV here. (Wow I hope that link workedā€¦ {staring at it dubiously!})

I totally agree Aaron.

Excellent suggestion Jason! Heā€™s written a book on UR, heā€™s got a PHD, heā€™s endorsed by Talbott and I liked what he had to say in his discussion on Rob Bell. Letā€™s see what the rest of the team thinks :sunglasses:

do you have a link for this topic ? Alex

Iā€™d love to get it, itā€™s one of the many on my wish list but at 120 bucks it would be about the most expensive book Iā€™ve ever bought . good suggestion too
