I don’t have vast experience in alt church, Steve, but in my limited experience I think you begin to see the percentages of males in the group go up as the meeting becomes more participatory. The men do tend to dominate the meetings (again, just in my experience) but not so much because they’re trying to (well, most of them) as because the ladies tend to be quieter. . . . excepting yours truly, but I’m sure that will come as no surprise.
