Robert Price on historicity of synoptic Jesus tradition

Are there any experts who can comment on Price’s review of Boyd and Eddy’s “The Jesus Legend”?

I haven’t read that. Wasn’t Price an opponent of Boyd’s in a debate? Keep in mind that he approaches the topic as an atheist, unless I am mistaken.

I’ll see if I can take a look at it later. I’ve read The Jesus Legend, and while I thought E&B oversimplified some things here and there, it was mostly because their scope was so wide that they didn’t have time to go into more detail. Robert Price was one of their main targets, though, so it’s understandable that he would eventually want to put up a response to it. (He’s a friend of theirs and actually contributed a blurb recommending it, on the ground that his position is strong enough that readers of his own books ought to read this to see why he’s right in opposing practically every one of their points! He’s got guts anyway. )
