Yes, but my point is that the word is kalazo, and it refers to what the Sanhedrin wanted to do to the apostles, which was, i think, in keeping with what they did to Messiah. “The punishment of our peace was upon Him”.I don’t think it was bringing them back into the fold that they had in mind.
I don’t have a problem with how any one individual wants to use the word, but I think it is an error to use it as a scriptural proof, or to declare that kolazo never involves punishment. That is because I believe the correction of the wicked may very well involve punishment, becuase of the way Jesus described the aionian consequences of wickedness- (as well as Peter and Paul and Jude). I think in proclaiming UR, the idea that the punishment of the wicked is completely mitigated for those who have persisted in wickedness and rejected the gospel, may not be accurate and in keeping with the testimony of Jesus and the apostles.
But of course, that is just my opinion, and that’s why we are discussing it I guess, .
