An organized theology is just as strong and seem because the scriptural theology that undergirds it. The dwelling of theological covenants comes from the material of scriptural covenants. If consistency is exactly what we search for like a measure for soundness, then let’s start with the consistency of Jesus and the gospel because the center and answer to both testaments of Scripture. Raising Him keeps the connection of those two disciplines complementary and mutually edifying, based on their distinct reasons.

If I read the post right, Hedan is suggesting that systematic theologies are a good thing because they allow quick and organized access to the truths of Scripture, but they must be grounded in the overarching narrative of Biblical theology–that is, of the Gospel and the person of Jesus. If that’s what he’s saying, I agree. If he’s saying something else, I suppose he’ll have to clarify.
