I have been looking at the Taize website in preparation for a healing service looking at Taize music. I found a section on the whether or not a Christian must believe in hell. It seems as though it may have a somewhat universalistic direction to it or, at the very least, a picture of hell more in line with being in the presence of God whilst refusing His love. I include the link below. I lean somewhat towards the view of annihilationism, but if I were a committed believer in ECT, it would be that hell is the experience of God whilst refusing His love. I wonder objectively, is there any biblical weight to the theory that hell is eternal separation from God?
