Talbott's Use Of "Augustinians"

In The Inescapable Love Of God, Talbott uses “Augustinians” instead of Calvinists or Reformed. That’s new to me and I think I like it. Points us back to a stronger line of demarcation (the beginning of the (short-term-in-the-long-run) reign of ECT in the church). I wonder what Calvinists think about the term. Maybe Thomas can enlighten us on why he uses it?

BTW, I tried to post this on Thomas’ forum, but I didn’t see a new topic option. There may be a better place for this one to go. Feel free to move it, admins.

Having just finished Toms latest version this is a little fresh in my mind. One question I have is this: in reference to people believing a lie per Matt 24 v 24 is this where we were lead astray, if it were possible for the elect? Yes I do know that this verse refers to false christs but I do wonder if that description covers all false concepts of God?
