Thanks Don, I like it. Is this from you or a re post from somewhere else?

Chad, I lifted them directly from Jesus’ words in Matthew 5,6,and 7. I did change the wording somewhat in some of them in order to clarify them or to modernize them.

Those sound easy enough.

All right! Let’s have some fun/education. Help me out Don. Opening a conversation. :grinning:

So #1, 9 & 12 are staple Christian thoughts. We are to control ourselves.

#4 is a stinker  We seldom go through any legal process with out a written oath.

#13 and #6 is a bit of a challenge, to some it may seem as a contradiction.

#10 & #11 are basic tribal instincts. We want to take care of ourselves and our prosperity. In the USA, that is an ingrained Idea.

#15 is the golden rule

#11 and #14 kind of go arm and arm, but we can converse about that.

The marriage /sexual stuff is what it is for most Christians.

#7 and # 16 are the deal breakers in my opinion. I can understand the #7 in the context of first century Rome, but I have to admit, to be believing in # 16 today is a bit of a stretch. WHO THE HELL KNOWS?

Peace.

You don’t have to swear an oath. In Canada there are provisions for those who cannot conscientiously swear an oath. They are permitted simply to “affirm” in writing that a given statement is true.

Thanks Don, I was expecting an assault. You are a gentleman. Everyone should know that fact. :grinning:
