i fully agree, though the story of Belshazzar presents some difficulty…
though not if you read the Prophetic bits about the nations rising and coming to God in the end. but Nebuchadnezzar is definitely a very interesting story for the purposes of illustrating God’s restorative abilities.

Further, it kind of blurs the line between free will and sovereignty – which is a good thing for me! Seems God is also “free” to do what is necessary to bring us to our senses. Rebellion being sense-less, God appears unwilling to damn and doom forever those with no sense.
