The Evangelical Universalist Forum

Unitarians and a relationship with Jesus

Pathoes publishes 2 newsletters, I read almost daily. And they are the Catholic and Evangelical newsletters. But they had an “interesting” piece, published in May 2019. I’ll reference it here - without “commentary”. No offense intended to you, Dave.

But then again, maybe this article will shed some light!

I’ll include a picture, for everyone’s benefit! Notice the “potential” membership candidates, hanging around the minister!

No offense taken. They obviously don’t know me or people like me, nor what Unitarianism even is.

The Universalist/Unitarian denomination is but a subset of Unitarians.

I suggest reading the “Baltimore Sermon” by William Ellery Channing (1780-1842). Channing was far from being a doubter.

In 1825, the American Unitarian Association was organized, precipitated by Channing.

I posted the whole thing (other than the first part dealing with scripture - which is a classic and the benchmark against which I measure all theories of interpretation) on a thread a few days ago

Thanks. Somehow I had missed your posting!

It’s a little too dense and hard to read, unfortunately.
And I’ll you what - those guys back then preached a lengthy sermon. Man.
