Universalist implications of "Our Father"

Just noticed this interesting paper by Kevin Hart. He explores the possible universalist meaning the opening line of the Lord’s Prayer may have had for early Christians. A thoughtful piece with references to Origen and Gregory of Nyssa.

I look forward to reading it. I’ve often thought that a good title for a sermon or article would be, “How Big is Your Our?”

I’ve always found this back-tracking qualifier intriguing. Where do people get off thinking i.e., assuming that THEY have more heart-felt love for humanity THAN does God… go figure??? :open_mouth:
