With the sub title: Whatever happened to the good news. Yancey brings his skills as a commentator to the issue with a very broad brush. For me the central feel of this book found its expression in the story of a guy involved in good works among the needy in New York who said that his most reliable helpers came from among the evangelicals who really cared and would tackle just about anything but that they were effectivly useless until they softened thier judgmental attitudes. Has anyone else read this one?
