So? Many Jews believe in the resurrection of the wicked as well as of the good. If God slays the unjust until (as Deuteronomy puts it) they are neither slave nor free, that doesn’t prevent (as subsequently in the same Deuteronomy prophecy) the unjust from finally repenting, returning to God, and being restored by God.
God wounds, and God heals; God slays, and God brings to life again. That portion of Ezekiel isn’t the whole story, although it’s certainly an important part in itself.
