What the Hell

New book just out by Jackson Baer called “What the Hell”. You can get more details at whatthehellbook.com

I haven’t read the book yet, just some of the parts that he posted on his blog. What I read sounded pretty good.

Just thought that others may be interested.

sounds like standard UR to me  very cool!

Yes, it’s another UR book, alot like Julie Ferwerda’s book “Raising Hell”, not too scholarly in style, but good for introducing others to the subject.

Yes it’s a fairly good primer on UR. The author is a youth minister and thus seems to be writting to the youth. He weaves together scriptural and logical arguments throughout, appealing to logic pretty often. The E-book is only $5 and worth it, I think. One can skim it pretty quickly.

I was a youth minister and teaching pastor for seven years but I was fired in May of this year for not believing Hell is eternal punishment. It was a tough time but allowed for me to write the book and I am thankful for that. I pray it blesses anyone who reads it and that the Holy Spirit leads you to the truth. Here are a couple reviews for the book up to this point:

“Raising Hell” by Julie Ferwerda is fantastic. I am almost finished and will be writing a detailed review of her book next week on my blog. I can’t recommend it enough!

Sorry to hear you got fired :frowning: but glad you used the opportunity for good. It’s great that there’s an increasing number of books on UR, as it means the good news about the Good News will hopefully reach a greater audience!

I look forward to getting your book when it comes out on the Kindle soon :sunglasses:

it amazes me that people are persecuted in the church for not accepting the highly strained, illogical and non-Biblical doctrine of eternal conscious torment. sorry to hear about this. hopefully i’ll get a chance to read your book. God bless you for standing up for your faith even at the cost you paid.

Thanks for the kind words. It was a tough time, I won’t lie. I love the youth and the people. We were all very close. There are a ton of people who actually hate me now and there’s nothing I can do to change that. BUT, the Holy Spirit can change that and I am praying that He will restore this entire situation just like God will restore all of His creation

It’s amazing that we are persecuted for suggesting God is all merciful while it’s accepted as the norm to believe God will eternally punish most of humanity. It just doesn’t add up. Books like “Hope Beyond Hell,” “Raising Hell,” and “Love Wins” are helping spread the Good news, among others.

Welcome to the board, by the way, Jackson.

I hope you’ll do an intro (if you haven’t done one already–I’ve been out for a long weekend), and that you can find (and contribute!) some good resources here.

Thanks for the welcome and I will add an intro soon

I wish it amazed me, but it doesn’t. Even my eternal hell believing pastor spoke some prophetic words a few years ago, saying that he believed that the majority, if not the entirety of the coming persecution of the true church would come from within the institution of the church itself. :open_mouth:

I just wanted to let everyone know that you can read “What the Hell” for free (by borrowing it if you have Amazon prime) on your Kindle here: amazon.com/What-Hell-Eternit … 804&sr=8-1

Here are the other ways you can get the book for as little as $5: whatthehellbook.com/the-book/

And if you would like the book but can’t afford it, please email me at info@whatthehellbook.com and I will send you a copy.

And they tell me there is no reason to believe the current theological collective may be biased… :unamused:

Hang in there, man.
