Has anyone seen this yet? It was a favorite book of mine as a kid - okay, when I got older as well - and unless it is really good I might not see it, and keep the book memories as they are.
Another Jack London book movie is coming out - starring Harrison Ford. 
And guess what airs tonight on AMC?
The Harrison Ford flick is the one I’m asking about. If it is ‘faithful’ to the book there will be violent dog fights, one in particular. The problem with taming those scenes down is that is attenuates the effect on the rest of the story that the author intended. Violent scenes in the book, yes; but the redemption and final freedom are thereby heightened. I’m concerned that they have ‘tamed’ the story and thereby lost the high notes.
