Will God's patience last for 'Kevin'?

I’ve been thinking about how God requires us to do our part in the process of salvation and I remembered this sketch from Harry Enfield’s show. Surely most (all?) humans given enough time, would respond to God’s love and ‘do’ what is necessary to be saved: enjoy…

The clip finishes a bit early so I can’t remember if Kevin actually does ‘give in’ and cleans the car…

classic

These parents are wonderfully patient, however in my experience, at some point our heavenly Father is capable of kicking some butt – or of letting the butt be kicked by its owner’s own bad choices.

That said, I agree – He won’t stop until that car is cleaned, and cleaned with a good will.

that’s a classic bit of farce! excellent stuff

I found the full version and yes, Kevin does finally clean the car and it shows him spark out exhausted and his parents carrying him into the house…maybe that is the ‘dragging’ that Jesus will do, when we finally submit and get down to what we have to do.
