Will Hugh Hefner(Playboy founder) be Saved?

I’m pretty sure that more than one Christian male (and more than one Christian female for that matter) has said this.

I don’t know in what way Hefner regards himself as a Christian; but a mere technical passcard belief or ritualism does not result in salvation. And insofar as he is impentient about his sins, he’s going to be punished. Even the ultra-universalists among us agree with that in principle–they just don’t think anyone will be impenitent after death and/or after the resurrection! But repentance is important either way, otherwise Hefner (or anyone else, regardless of the relative size of their sins) will still be doing injustice.

You should really try reading forum posts for a while before posting things like this, so you can learn what we actually believe (and the variations of that among us).

Um, I thought most universalists actually believed this too? Unless he repents and accepts Yeshua he will indeed be in the Lake of Fire forever, and yes, he lives a sinful lifestyle and yes, he doesn’t deserve God. These same principles also apply to us. I see no problems here…

Are you out trolling brother? I saw no confessions on Hefner’s Wikipedia page.

why wouldn’t he eventually be saved?
people are so hung up about sex…i don’t agree with porn (turning people into things), and i most definitely don’t agree with “men’s magasines” that objectify both women AND men in that same way.

but yeesh, people act as if that’s worse than say, being a politician or being an estate agent… or a dishonest merchant, or a greedy capitalist pig of any stripe really…or a prosperity gospel preacher or any of these others that i would sooner call living abominations before Hugh Heffner.

i may not agree with him at all, but he smokes a mean pipe and wears a stylish dressing gown.

if any of this sounds silly, it’s because this is really a silly question.

I’m not sure if Jeff/Garf is trolling, but he has indicated elsewhere he is only a universalist in the most distantly hopeful sense. I don’t think he’s thought about it a lot.

Neither however does he seem to be spending much time actually studying the topics already on the board.
