How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

It seems to me, (but understand I’m not as in tune as some of you all are ) that everyone here is going on about things that they have no real information about but are reacting to whatever media outlets they are looking at. If some one here has a cousin in the White house, cool, I’ll bite, but for the rest why are we massaging our ego’s?

Well, everyone has their favorite news sources. And hope that they provide “reliable” info and not “fake news”. For Dave and Steve, it’s probably Fox News. For me, it’s the BBC News and online Weekly World News. I’m sure Bob has his favorite, media sources also.

I’d answer: Trump (and those aligned with him). His record 144 tweets/day about this suggests he has some care, and his reps will spend days to reinforce GOP senators in blocking having any witnesses closest to the facts, or else face Trump’s threat to destroy their career. They care!

Another answer is Mark Galli, who explains here why he argued in Christianity Today that Christians should care about these issues.

Got to disagree with you there. If you look hard you can find people who don’t spin, and get the correct information. The BBC is surely not that source - not when it comes to America and DT - but they are pretty good at other stuff. The truth is out there.

It’s not so hard, I just follow Breithart and other hard right sites, or read them right here

BTW I get very little news from Fox.

You constantly post “Tucker” and other FOX regulars. How do you obtain it?

This is no big deal I guess?

Domenech rightly notes that Trump has polarized us into a binary view that secured him the votes of his base that wants to criminalize it, but offers no evidence that his policies have improved the rate of abortion! And I expect cuts to programs enabling the poor to viably raise children will increase abortions. As a pro-lifer, I’d prefer returning to policies that actually strongly lowered the numbers of this evil.

Obviously, I disagree.

And they have stories on the US (and other countries), that no one else covers. For example: :

Or this story perhaps.

But I do view other world news sources. Like France-24 and Japan’s NHK. This ensures that the BBC is following, the tried and true path - of news reporting.

That’s it Bob, run with fake news because Adam Schiff the lying weasel said that, just take it at face value.
You do know Susan Collins gasped when Schiff said that and whispered “no.”

You do know the bible mentions that we need to have discernment, right?

As a pro-lifer it’s good to see you support Klobuchar who supports late term abortions as do all the Dems.

Steve, Trump has ended the career of almost every GOP member of the administration or Congress that has not been deeply compliant. I find ridiculing that threatening reality totally naïve.

I find your partisan dismissive mocking of reducing abortions reveals your actual priority.

I find Dave regularly indicates that the ONLY sources that “feel” true to him are partisan ones devoted to Trump. He accepts a politician’s claim that all other journalists are fake.

Not to mention taxpayers paying for mass illegal immigration, free healthcare for those immigrants, free education for those immigrants, now pushing to allow them to vote even though they are not citizens, allowing their criminal element a free ride in sanctuary cities, covering up rapes and violent crimes by those same people IN sanctuary cities - the list goes on. I agree, abortion is the most egregious and I don’t see how a Christian can back a candidate who advocates for it. But I’m not gonna judge such a person’s conscience, though I don’t understand the logic.

This is from today’s Patheos Catholic newsletter.

That’s a pretty disgusting opinion. But some will stop at nothing to discredit a man who is doing his best for America, and the unborn.

No, I don’t go to Breitbart as an impeccable source for news either, but upon occasion they do have a catchy headline.

What’s happening here are two things, and that they are happening while Trump is on trial is fairly amazing…

Although Democrats and the corporate media are literally spending billions of dollars to destroy Trump, it is not working. The public is not only tuning it all out; Trump’s average job approval rating today is only 1.5 points lower than Barry Obama’s was at this same point in his failed presidency.

The reason for this is that the media’s worst nightmare is coming true. The public is starting to see Trump as a president and to notice the superb job he is doing both at home and abroad, a true era of peace and prosperity, our first since September 11, 2001.

The media are probably keeping Trump’s job approval rating down a few points. Trump’s Twitter account is probably keeping it down a few more. But everything changes once it’s mano y mano, once Trump can get out of the White House and on the campaign trail to make his case — and he has a great case to make.
