How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

Evidence for what? Read the actual NY Times article, it’s not what it appears to be.

Our examinations in watching the sworn testimony and cross-examination obviously totally differs.

While I agree Trump should not be impeached, I didn’t see any witness (including those called by the GOP) who disputed that there was a scheme everyone involved worked with to withhold money from Ukraine until they made a public announcement about going after Biden. And they’re unanimous that Zelensky knew of it and desperately sought to satisfy Trump’s dicey demand.

As I’ve said, I see little evidence that Senators actually doubt this unanimous testimony given under threat of perjury. And GOP ones obviously are understandably desperate to avoid hearing from anyone else near the facts who possibly could challenge these witnesses and defend the president on this.

I don’t even have a clue what you are talking about. All these so called witnesses were simply people giving their own personal opinions, they were not even real witnesses. There was nothing to witness.
All the Dems did was gather opinions friendly to the Dem agenda which is to damage Trump.

Only partisans who didn’t watch all the testimony and cross examination swallow that.

I agree with Jonah Goldberg that Trump’s ultimate defense is that each witness willing to testify about his scheme under threat of perjury is simply a liar, and that those who supposedly would support his innocence better not take that same oath to swear to tell the truth! He’s smart!

And as he often said, repeat a fabrication enough times, and followers will start spouting it.

John Bolton - what a sad man and sad story. Sadder still is his decision to drop a bomb about his book, on the day the book goes on sale, and the day the Trump lawyers finally got to clear up the detritus from Schiff et. al.
To sell a book, Bolton’s dislike of Trump is allowing Bolton to further enrage both sides, take up more of the American people’s time and money, and perhaps to bring down the President. What a wet dream for the Dems.
Bolton SAID the Pres told him he wanted a quid pro quo with Ukraine to get dirt on Biden. The Pres said no, he never said that to Bolton or anyone. What he did say he said on a phone call that he knew 20 other people were listening to - is he stupid enough to abuse Presidential power on a public phone call? No.
Bolton has sold out - if there was any evidence anywhere that the Pres was trying to blackmail Ukraine, it would have come out. This hail-Mary may work, but not because it is the truth.
A sad day. Oh, not for Schiff, he’s happy to help impeach the American public, and try to steal the next election. For his sick mind, this is a god-send.

I just found this also:

Well, soon:

  • The senate trial will be over.

  • Trump’s superstar legal team, will do their song and dance.

  • And the Senate will acquit him - barring any “starling” new info.

And in November:

  • Trump will probably be elected again. Unless Mike Bloomberg rises to the top…of either the Democratic or Independent heap.

  • And history will probably best remember Trump, as one of the few impeached presidents.

And hopefully:

I don’t really see what difference it makes re what he may have said to Bolton because He didn’t follow through.
Are we criminalizing thoughts or private statements when nothing in reality was done or communicated.
Leftist Bob would claim “intent” but with no actual follow up I think there was not even real intent.
Plus we don’t actually know what Trump supposedly said.

There was only 1 witness that supposedly spoke to Trump about Ukraine which was Sonderland and under oath he repeatedly said he assumed and presumed everything. No other so called witness spoke to Trump, but they were all thrilled to give the weasel Dems their “opinions.” The Dems are very big on opinions.

Here’s some video footage, of Alan Dershowitz Arguing for Trump.

“It has been pointed out so far by both the House managers as well the defense that there has not been evidence of a direct nature of what the president may have said or what his motives were or what he did,” Romney said on Monday evening. “The article in the New York Times I think made it pretty clear that [Bolton] has some information that may be relevant. And I’d like to hear relevant information before I made a final decision.”

My prediction is that despite saying he wanted witnesses, Trump will try to block and attack any GOP senators who argue that examining key witnesses can be appropriate in a fair trial.

In reality, the aid was frozen, a WH meeting denied, and Trump repeatedly told Ukraine and his reps to ask Rudy who knew what was needed. And all of them understood that his message was that Trump demanded nothing short of a televised Ukrainian hit on Biden for its release. They checked with Trump’s chief of staff and secretary of state, telling them they were trying to get Zelensky to satisfy this difficult demand. No one in Trump’s administration denied that such a shake down was required.

All these many people who can verify or deny that this was the case and what Trump declared are available for subpoena. Trump’s blocking them from swearing to tell whatever truth they know tells me he wants vindication despite what happened being obvious to all serious observers.

I agree, the president’s regular position is that anyone opposing him is the liar. Bolton should not get away with such slander. Put him under oath, and cross examination by the president’s lawyers, and then prosecute him for perjury!

Pure conjecture Bob. I admire your persistence in your attempts to discredit this president. However, please don’t sink to the same depths that men like Schiff and Nadler swim in.

What is conjectured?? That Bolton shouldn’t get away with perjury and harmful accusations should be scrutinized?

No need to be coy, Bob. You offered your opinion regarding Trump’s position.

noun: conjecture ; plural noun: conjectures

What got me to realize the Dem party is beyond repair or redemption was the Kavanaugh circus. I just had a moment of true epiphany when I realized that they did not care, did not care one tiny little bit, whether the allegations against Kavanaugh were true or not. Perhaps some might think I was naive, and perhaps I was. But it was quite startling to realize that moderately intelligent, reasonably well educated people, people who are running this great nation, care not a whit about the truth. Dem Party Delenda Est.

Extra, extra. Read all about it. News flash from the BBC.

Of course! I’d posted opinions of both conservative Jonah Goldberg, and of GOP senator Romney, that Bolton made serious charges against our president, and since information is incomplete, we shouldn’t let it stand without making him swear to it under cross examination, and prosecuting him if it’s not true.

Is your opinion different? I believe we should care about the truth.

My opinion about the content of your statements is immaterial. And, of course we should care about the truth.

I don’t really want a prolonged argument on semantics, Bob. I respect you too highly for that.
