How To Live Under An Unqualified President by John Piper

Okay I get it. Trumps a prophet that was born again through TV Christianity. They are comparing him with Cyrus. They even made a coin with trump on it. Google Trump Cyrus coin to get the details. Send in a love gift and receive your Trump coin!

An old classic Christian thrash song, “What A Joke” by Deliverance.

Just to counter that silly Intelligencer article: 4 more years of Obama or Obama 2 would mean stifling economic regulations, giving up on American productivity, increasing racial tensions (deliberately escalated), allowing Iran and others to develop atomic bombs, allowing an increasing amount of illegal aliens into the country to be fed, housed, educated, and medically treated at TAXPAYER EXPENSE, the loss of reputation with other governments, confiscation of legal arms from law-abiding citizens, the complete takeover of the medical system by a government that cannot tie its own shoes, the further collapse of the educational system due to propaganda and the re-writing of history, a further erosion of civility and human rights - just off the top of my head. Let’s not forget the bankrupting of the country in order to pay for a Green Deal, which will accomplish almost nothing except - bankrupting the country.

I’m surprised you haven’t run across a ‘news source’ that actually tells you those things.
But Obama - noone ever responds to the atrocious and lawless behavior of that corrupt man.

It’s all becoming clear. Trump got born again and saw the light through Christian TV. He’s an end time prophet. Jay seckulow is his lawyer. It’s the capitalist Christians against the evil socialist democrats. You people need your head examined.

I actually have 2. The BBC News and Weekly World News. They might NOT tell me those things. But they do tell me good things.

The thread is the moral unqualifiedness of Trump not Obama. Dave B. constantly brings up Obama. This is known as the “You Too Buddy” fallacy.

It is a fallacy because the moral character or actions of the opponent are generally irrelevant to the logic of the argument.[3] It is often used as a red herring tactic and is a special case of the ad hominem fallacy, which is a category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of facts about the person presenting or supporting the claim or argument.[4]

Now, this is something I REALLY didn’t know.

Let me quote a bit.

As America moves toward the 2020 election, the country will see if there will be a 46th president or if the 45th — Donald J. Trump, in case you have forgotten — will earn a second term.

But a recent discovery by historians has cast doubt on the numbering. Archivists at the National Past Institute (NPI) in Washington, D.C., have discovered that in the 1820s, there was an additional president, previously unknown. “Shocker,” said Melvin Unterberry, the director of the NPI.

I’ve been thinking it over and all kidding aside, I guess TV preachers could have helped cause a paradigm shift for Trump. It is possible that he has grown and changed through spiritual transformations as his views have evolved over time. Mine have. I can’t rule it out. A lot of the TV preachers say some good things.

[Dobson], a Christian psychologist and founder of the Focus on the Family group, said he knows “the person who led [Trump] to Christ. And that’s fairly recent.”

“I don’t know when it was, but it has not been long,” Dobson said in an interview with Pennsylvania megachurch pastor Michael Anthony following that meeting in New York. ”I believe he really made a commitment, but he’s a baby Christian.”

This is from today’s Patheos Catholic newsletter.

Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare. Just imagine the improved quality of life for our society as a whole if the issue of access to healthcare were dealt with imaginatively. With more than forty million Americans living day to day in the fear that an illness or injury will wipe out their savings or drag them into bankruptcy, how can we truly engage in the pursuit of happiness as our founders intended?

Donald Trump, The America we Deserve, page 207

Next we will look at Trumps plan on how to do Universal Healthcare

Again, The thread is about the moral unqualified-ness of Trump not Obama. Dave B. constantly brings up Obama after one shows the moral unqualified-ness of Trump.

Trump’s How of Universal Healthcare

So our objective is to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well administered, and provides freedom of choice.

Possible? the good news is, yes. There is already a system in place - the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program - that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year the participants can choose from up to two dozen different plans, which vary in benefits and costs. The 1998 Canidate’s Briefing Book says that this is about the only system that allows families so much variety in their healthcare.

The government manages this plan with a light hand through the Office of Personnel Management. Its role is limited but precise. Each spring, health providers are asked to submit proposals for their plans, stating benefits and costs. After the proposals come in, the Office Personnel Management negotiates with providers. This allows for competition and gives federal workers an excellent range of options. Medicare could certainly be operated the same way; a single payer, universal plan ought to be as well.

Borrowing from the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program model, there would be real competition within the insurance marketplace to develop a package of benefits attractive to the eligible families. There would be countless economic benefits from improved access to healthcare - such as fewer missed days of work and fewer financial losses for hospitals and doctors who provide services without compensation. Further it would reduce the burden on other governmental programs that deal with the health problems facing uninsured children and adults.

Following Stuart M. Butler in a Heritage Foundation backgrounder, here’s how I would re-create the Federal Benefits model for the whole country.

I would immediately create a board to set rules for providers and also negotiate with them. This board would establish firm rules that ensure seniors a solid core of benefits. It would also include more options for higher levels of service. The seniors contributions would be adjusted according to income and need level. “Premium support” services would be more limited, which would give them an incentive to find the most cost effective base plan.

At the same time I would create a board to oversee benefits changes in a nonpartisan setting. To ensure independence for consumers, we need an independent board to set the rules and to make sure that all parties live up to them. Our priority must be our citizens, not our lobbyists.

For a guy who sez he’s for Trump, you sure don’t like to show it much, do you?

Well then we’ll have to look elsewhere!!

LOL When Trump lovers have passionate friends like Michael, I figure who needs enemies like me around who also don’t praise him enough and might even argue that Trump has serious flaws

I call myself BOTH an admirer of Donald Trump and Mike Bloomberg. While neither one is “ideal”, they are much better suited - then ALL the other “current” Democratic contenders combined.

And speaking of REAL news.

“President Trump has chosen his position: He’s taking the “Make actual day-to-day life better for people by strengthening the job market, reducing taxes, making energy more plentiful and affordable, reducing the negative economic impact and civil disruption caused by rampant illegal immigration, improving our national security by rebuilding our military and enhancing the country’s balance-of-trade situation by renegotiating failed agreements such as NAFTA” position.”

Which strikes me as eminently practical and beneficial to the nation. No wonder the Left is against it. lol

Money talks. We just might get that desired contest between billionaire choices.
