Aaron: Every knee will bow in submission to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Believers and angels will do it willingly and juyfully. Unbelievers and the devil and his demons will do it unwillingly and painfully.

Nimble, the first is believing unto salvation after hearing the gospel. The second is submission to the authority of Jesus.

I’m sorry you feel that way, but I can assure you the true gospel of Jesus Christ is found in Mark 16:15-20.

( Matt 10:7-8; Mark 16:15-20) This is what Jesus commanded us to do, go ahead, and read Mark 16:15-20 for yourself.

James was referring to faith without works is dead. In other words, if you claim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and your life does not line up with your proclamation… your faith is false and useless. Your works are a byproduct of your faith.

Well, I have to say I’m somewhat surprised you didn’t get your feathers more ruffled. That shows that you’re confident of what youre saying although it doesn’t mean you’re any less misled.

What I don’t understand is how the Great Commission is the “true” gospel. So the real gospel is how to preach the gospel? It’s nothing more than an infinitely regressing self-referential method? (The gospel is how to preach the gospel which is how to preach the gospel which is how to preach the gospel which is…)

So, when’s the last time you raised the dead, Aaron? I’d love to hear about it. Sounds exciting.

Aaron: If you would ask people who proclaim to be Christians what they believe to be the gospel, you would get a whole lot of different answers. Paul warned of people preaching a false gospel in Galatians. He said if anyone comes and preaches a different gospel than what we taught he is to be accursed or to be damned. No offense, but UR is a false gospel that Jesus nor the Apostles taught.

Aaron: The opportunity has not presented itself, yet. People are being raised from the dead all around the world, Justin, just because you have not seen it does not mean it’s not happening.

1 John 4:17 as Jesus is, so am I in this world.
Jesus said " the works that I do you will do also and greater works you will do because I go to my Father. John 14:12.

I never said I disbelieved in that in the least, in fact I’ll defend the existence of miracles such as that to my death. I just was skeptical that you had.

Also, doing miracles is no proof that someone is of the Lord. Remember the verse I quoted about Jesus telling some who had that he never knew them?

The Great Commission isn’t a litmus test for who is a believer and who is not, it’s just a promise to those who follow in the strength of His ministry, something we’ve lost over the centuries, but hopefully will recover quickly.
